Welcome to the
third room
\\
At Third Room, we hold space for empowerment of individuals through collective gatherings around art and making.

Through open access programming, collaborative participation, and a collective love-ethic, we are able to support artists and activists that can do the most with the least. We believe in the transformative power of a solidarity economy, and in the ethos that art making is for everyone. We prioritize work that exists outside the market and are not interested in what the cannon, taste, or trend has to say in terms of what holds value.

We believe that togetherness is art’s most powerful impact; and as artists we thrive on a basis of autonomy, joy, and access.
What more do we need more than space and each other?

You Are Here: Volume One
10 ARTISTS SHARE THEIR WRITING AND IMAGES IN 10 PAMPHLETS

You Are Here is an independent collaborative publication for the unseen, the unpublishable, and the unknown. We print and distribute critical essays, art dissent, experimental poetry and fiction, art documentation, and ephemera that address and challenge exclusionary systems. The publication housed under Third Room x Unbound Press is a hybrid third space: it becomes an exhibition space, a poetic space, a critical space, and a political act for circumventing art world hegemony and capitalist structures of production.
